Big Data Training Technical Guidance

The Belitung Regency Communication and Informatics Service held Big Data Technical Guidance Training for three days effective from 30 October to 1 November 2024. In this activity, three employees of the Central Statistics Agency were invited as resource persons, namely Agus Prianto, SST from BPS Belitung Regency and Rengga Firmandika, SST and Apriela Trirahma, SST from BPS Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Apart from being held face-to-face in the B-Smart room of the Belitung Regency Communication and Information Service, this event was also broadcast online via the Zoom application.

The first day of technical guidance was provided by a resource person from BPS Belitung Regency (Agus Prianto, SST). The resource person provided material regarding the implementation of sectoral statistics, especially in Belitung Regency, and its relation to developments in the use of big data. Then, the second day of technical guidance began with a brief presentation from resource person Rengga Firmandika, SST and continued with practice introducing HTML structures. Based on this material, technical guidance participants then practice web scraping using the Python programming language. Meanwhile, the material on the third day focused on data processing and visualization. Today's material was presented by a resource person from BPS Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Apriela Trirahma, SST. Participants learn how to process data using functions in Excel, then the results of the data processing are made into a table display and dashboard.
