Domestic Goods Trade and Inter-Regional Trade Survey Surveyor Training

On Tuesday (27/05/2025), BPS Belitung Regency held a Domestic Goods Trade and Inter-Regional Trade Survey Officer Training 2025. This activity was attended by 13 Field Data Collection Officers (PPL) from Statistics Partners and 8 Field Inspection Officers (PML) from the BPS Belitung Regency, acting Head of BPS Belitung Regency, and one committee member. This activity was carried out for one working day. The instructor in this activity was Rananta Karina, a member of the Distribution, Services, Finance, Information Technology, and Tourism Statistics Team.

The training was opened by acting Head of BPS Belitung Regency, Muhammad Syafiudin. He conveyed the importance of trade data in capturing domestic connectivity. Trade data can show a picture of domestic trade activities and the flow of goods that are useful for: (1) Improving the performance of the national logistics system; (2) Improving the investment climate; (3) Increasing the competitiveness of the national economy; (4) Increasing market access for domestic products. In his presentation, he also emphasized the importance of coordination between PPL and PML in dealing with various problems in the field because this survey is related to business activities that have different characteristics from household unit surveys.
