Tanjung Pandan Recorded an Inflation in July 2026

Belitung, August 3 — BPS-Statistics of Belitung Regency recorded that in July 2026, Tanjung Pandan experienced a month to month inflation of 0,32 percent and a yearly inflation (the price index in July 2026 compared to July 2025) of 1,81 percent. Meanwhile, the year to date inflation rate (the price index in July 2026 compared to December 2025) was 1,42 percent.

The expenditure group contributing the most to monthly inflation was the transportation group, which recorded inflation of 0,60 percent in July 2026, with a contribution of 0,08 percentage points to inflation. This was followed by the food and beverage provision/accommodation services group, which recorded inflation of 0,77 percent, with a contribution of 0,08 percentage points to inflation. The main commodities contributing to monthly inflation (m-to-m) in general were yellowtail fish, cucumber, and kerisi fish. Meanwhile, the main commodities contributing to monthly deflation (m-to-m) in general were shallots, broiler chicken meat, and bird’s eye chili.

At the regional level, of the four inflation measurement areas in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands, all areas recorded monthly inflation, except West Bangka Regency, which recorded deflation. The highest monthly inflation was recorded in Pangkalpinang Municipality, at 0,85 percent, while the lowest was recorded in East Belitung Regency, at 0,22 percent. Overall, the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands recorded monthly inflation of 0,35 percent, year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation of 1,20 percent, and year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation of 2,62 percent.
