Tanjung Pandan Records Inflation in August 2026

Belitung, September 1 — Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Belitung Regency recorded that Tanjung Pandan experienced monthly inflation (m-to-m) of 0.56 percent in August 2026. Year-on-year inflation (y-o-y), comparing prices in August 2026 with those in August 2025, reached 3.53 percent. Meanwhile, on a year-to-date basis (y-to-d), comparing prices in August 2026 with those in December 2025, Tanjung Pandan recorded inflation of 1.98 percent.

The expenditure group contributing the most to monthly inflation was Food, Beverages, and Tobacco, which recorded inflation of 1.32 percent in August 2026, with a contribution of 0.52 percentage points to overall inflation. The main commodities contributing to monthly inflation (m-to-m) were generally round fish, trevally/tude fish, and rice with side dishes. Meanwhile, the main commodities contributing to monthly deflation (m-to-m) were generally air transportation, broiler chicken, and shallots.

Regionally, all four inflation measurement points in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province experienced monthly inflation, year-to-date inflation, and year-on-year inflation. The highest monthly inflation was recorded in West Bangka Regency at 0.95 percent, while the lowest was recorded in Tanjung Pandan at 0.56 percent. Overall, the Bangka Belitung Islands Province recorded monthly inflation of 0.81 percent, year-to-date inflation of 2.03 percent, and year-on-year inflation of 3.94 percent..
