Tanjung Pandan Records Inflation in September 2026

Belitung, October 1 — Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Belitung Regency recorded that Tanjung Pandan experienced monthly inflation (m-to-m) of 1.89 percent in September 2026. On a year-on-year basis (y-o-y), inflation reached 5.01 percent, comparing prices in September 2026 with those in September 2025. Meanwhile, on a year-to-date basis, comparing prices in September 2026 with those in December 2025, Tanjung Pandan recorded inflation of 3.91 percent.

The expenditure group contributing the most to monthly inflation was Food, Beverages, and Tobacco, which recorded inflation of 3.90 percent in September 2026, contributing 1.55 percentage points to overall inflation. The main commodities contributing to monthly inflation (m-to-m) were broiler chicken, maintenance/service, and cayenne pepper. Meanwhile, the main commodities contributing to monthly deflation (m-to-m) were air transportation, squid, and household fuel.

By region, all four inflation measurement points in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province recorded monthly inflation, year-to-date inflation, and year-on-year inflation. The highest monthly inflation was recorded in Tanjung Pandan at 1.89 percent, while the lowest was recorded in Pangkal Pinang City at 0.44 percent. Overall, the Bangka Belitung Islands Province recorded monthly inflation of 0.81 percent, year-to-date inflation of 2.85 percent, and year-on-year inflation of 4.30 percent.
