Abstract

In June 2020 Tanjungpandan City experienced inflation of 0.27 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.85. From 90 CPI cities, 76 cities experienced inflation and 14 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kendari of 1.33 percent with CPI of 104.80 and the lowest occurred in Makassar of 0.01 percent with CPI of 105.51. Meanwhile the highest deflation occurred in Ternate by 0.34 percent with CPI of 105.43 and the lowest occurred in Padangsidimpuan by 0.02 percent with CPI of 105.38.
Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in some indexes of the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.39 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.01 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuels by 0.03 percent; transportation group of 0.97 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.01 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 0.24 percent. Meanwhile, one group experienced deflation, namely the group of equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.10 percent. Meanwhile, the health group; recreational, sports and cultural groups; education group; and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group did not change.
The June 2020 calendar year inflation rate was 0.39 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2020 against June 2019) was 1.83 percent.
The energy group in June 2020 was stable or unchanged with the CPI of 100.47. Meanwhile, the food ingredient component in June 2020 experienced inflation of 0.61 percent with CPI 104.27.
