December 2022 Pangkalpinang City Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 6.07 percent

Abstract

In December 2022 there was Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 6.07 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.66. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 8.65 percent with a CPI of 119.83 and the lowest occurred in Sorong at 3.26 percent with a CPI of 110.95.
Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by increases in all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.92 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.57 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group of 6.72 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 2.95 percent; the health group by 1.00 percent; transportation group of 15.69 percent; the information, communication and financial services group by 0.25 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 2.27 percent; the education group by 0.20 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 4.62 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 8.36 percent.
The December 2022 Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation rate was 0.99 percent and the December 2022 Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 6.07 percent.
The y-on-y inflation rate for the Energy component in December 2022 was 17.63 percent and the y-on-y inflation for the Foodstuffs component in December 2022 was 3.29 percent.
