April 2023 Pangkalpinang City Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.78 percent with Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.58 percent.

Abstract

In April 2023 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Pangkalpinang was 2.78 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114.15. The lowest y-on-y inflation in Indonesia occurred in Pangkalpinang. Meanwhile, the highest y-on-y inflation in Indonesia occurred in Kota Baru at 6.75 percent with a CPI of 121.12.
Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in the CPI of 10 expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.42 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.73 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.35 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 1.34 percent; the health group by 1.05 percent; transportation group of 7.93 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 1.41 percent; the education group by 0.04 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 2.03 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 3.18 percent. In contrast, the information, communication and financial services group experienced deflation or a decrease in CPI of 0.59 percent.
The April 2023 Month to Month (m-to-m) inflation rate was 0.58 percent and the April 2023 Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 0.43 percent.
The y-on-y inflation rate for the Energy component for April 2023 was 14.39 percent and the y-on-y inflation for the Foodstuffs component for April 2023 was 0.73 percent.
