January 2024 Tanjungpandan City, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation is 1.90 percent

Abstract

In January 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Tanjung Pandan was 1.90 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.97.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in almost all expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.85 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.68 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.66 percent; health group at 0.68 percent; transportation group at 5.17 percent; education group at 6.88 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.24 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.83 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were: housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 0.51 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.09 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group at 2.00 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Tanjung Pandan for January 2024 are 0.26 percent each.
