February 2024, Tanjung Pandan City Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation is 3.14 percent

Abstract

In February 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Tanjung Pandan was 3.14 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.57
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in almost all expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.73 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.64 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.48 percent; health group at 0.36 percent; transportation group at 4.16 percent; education group at 7.03 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.21 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.17 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were: the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.52 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.04 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group at 2.52 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate is 0.57 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 0.83 percent.
