Abstract

In June 2022, Tanjungpandan City experienced a deflation of 0.03 percent with a CPI of 115.97. Of the 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, the deflation in Tanjungpandan was the lowest, while the highest deflation occurred in Kendari at 0.61 percent with a CPI of 111.45. The highest inflation occurred in Gunungsitoli at 2.72 percent with a CPI of 113.64. The lowest inflation occurred in Pontianak at 0.07 percent with a CPI of 111.11.
Deflation occurred due to a decrease in part of the index of the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.85 percent and the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.27 percent. Some other expenditure groups experienced inflation, namely: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel by 0.04 percent; health group by 0.07 percent; transportation group by 2.46 percent; and the group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 0.45 percent. Recreational, sports and cultural groups; personal care groups and other services; information, communication, and financial services group; clothing and footwear group; and the education group did not change.
The inflation rate for the calendar year in June 2022 is 4.55 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2022 to June 2021) is 6.61 percent.
The energy group in June 2022 experienced inflation of 0.01 percent with a CPI of 104.69. Meanwhile, the foodstuff component in June 2022 experienced a deflation of 1.25 percent with a CPI of 123.40.
