October 2024 Tanjung Pandan Year on Year (y-on-y) deflation of 0.53 percent

Abstract

In October 2024 there will be year on year (y-on-y) deflation in Tanjung Pandan of 0.53 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.28.

Y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decline in prices as indicated by a decline in the index in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.49 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.38 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.21 percent; Health group at 1.34 percent; transportation group at 1.29 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.08 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y inflation or an increase in the index were: the clothing and footwear group at 0.46 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.79 percent; education group of 3.50 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.67 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.27 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate is 0.56 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 0.55 percent.
