May 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Tanjung Pandan City is 1.27 percent

Abstract

In May 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Tanjung Pandan will be 1.27 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.10.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in almost all expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.16 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.65 percent; health group by 0.13 percent; transportation group by 1.91 percent; education group at 7.03 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.67 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.45 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were: the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.52 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.31 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.06 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group at 2.49 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate is -0.38 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 1.34 percent.
