Abstract

In June 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Tanjung Pandan will be 0.05 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.76.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by rising indices in several expenditure groups, namely: clothing and footwear by 0.66 percent; transportation group by 2.97 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.02 percent; education group at 7.03 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.67 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.54 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.52 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.36 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.23 percent; health group by 1.50 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.08 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate is -1.26 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 0.06 percent.
