January 2025 Tanjung Pandan Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation is 0.40 percent

Abstract

In January 2025, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Tanjung Pandan was 0.40 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.39.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by rising indices in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.64 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.43 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 3.71 percent; education group of 1.60 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group with a very small increase in index; and the personal care and other services group at 1.63 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were: the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 16.56 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.62 percent; health group by 1.33 percent; transportation group by 0.22 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.06 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate was 1.01 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 1.01 percent.
